Ealing is a true melting pot of all cultures and people and now Tian Tian Market, an Asian supermarket with seven branches in London has chosen Ealing to be its first in West London and store number eight.
The Ealing branch of Tian Tian is located inside Dickens Yard at Ealing Broadway and opened last Saturday (24 June 2023).
Founded in 2016, Tian Tian Market offers a wide variety of food, drink and selected home wares from countries including Japan, China, South Korea, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam.
From sushi rice to soy sauce and from frozen Japanese ice cream to manga inspired soft drinks, Tian Tian Market has it all and in plenty of varieties and choices.
This is the ultimate Asian supermarket with just about everything and anything you could want for breakfast, lunch and dinner along with snacking during the day time.
EALING.NEWS spoke to Alisha Tai from Tian Tian Market to find out more.
What inspired you to come to Ealing?
We know there’s a large Asian community in Ealing and we did market research and noticed this as a good opportunity for us. Even before we opened in Ealing, we received a lot of customer enquiries asking for a store here. They were asking us to come here to make it more accessible for them. So that’s why we chose this area.
What is special about Tian Tian Market?
We are not just focused on one specific product category or from any specific country. Wherever you come from, whatever your background, if you visit our store, you can find products from your home country.
You have a wide range of vegan and Halal products?
Vegan friendly selection is a top priority for all the stores because we want to meet customer requirements. We have stickers on the shelf to guide the customer and make it easier for them to find vegan and Halal.
You now have eight branches, are some of them different or reflect more of the local community?
With each store we’re targeting customers a bit different. And for Ealing because we noticed there’s more of a Japanese community here so we have a bigger Japanese selection compared to other branches.
Your prices are very competitive compared to other retailers of similar products
We make it more accessible and easier for people to try a new product or new items. And as you can see, we have weekly offers and we include iconic Japanese brands, Hong Kong brands, Chinese brands and more. We also have a loyalty programme for members.
