Transport for London invites Ealing residents and commuters to have their say on expansion of E1 route to Osterley Tesco

Residents and commuters are being invited by Transport for London (TfL) to give their views on the expansion of the E1 route which could see the journey extend from Ealing Broadway to Osterley Tesco.

Currently the bus travels to/from Greenford on a route that includes Hanwell and West Ealing before arriving at Haven Green in Ealing Broadway.

Under the proposals to improve links to Ealing Broadway, TfL wants to extend the E1 bus route via Ealing Road, Great West Road and Syon Lane.

It says this will allow direct links between between north and south Ealing, between Greenford, Drayton Green, Ealing Broadway, South Ealing, North Brentford, Great West Road and Osterley.

Speaking to EALING.NEWS, Geoff Hobbs, director of public transport service planning said: “Buses are an important lifeline for millions of Londoners each year. The proposed extension to route E1 will improve links to Ealing Broadway and offer new direct links and extra capacity between north and south Ealing.”

Mr Hobbs added: “Consultation is now open and also includes proposals to introduce a new school route 618 for Bolder Academy and Nishkam School in Isleworth. We welcome all feedback from customers and encourage everyone to respond to the consultation. Feedback is hugely important to us and will enable us to create bus services which benefit everyone using the services in the local area.”
