Man on fire in Northolt park dies

Police are investigating the death of a person believed to be male who was found on fire early in the morning in Belvue Park in Northolt.

Firefighters from Northolt Fire Station were called to reports of a fire in the park on Rowdell Road at 4.19am today (June 13) with police attending at 4.37am by which time the man was pronounced dead.

In a statement, just before midday, Ealing Police said: “Officers are working to identify the deceased, at this stage believed to be male, and inform next of kin. The death is currently being treated as unexplained.”

Local councillor, Chris Summers tweeted: “Dreadful news. Our thoughts are with the family of the victim, whoever they may be.”
