Dormers Wells High School holds successful sixth form evening for prospective students

Following a successful results day in the summer which saw A level students getting places to study at prestigious universities such as Harvard in the USA, Imperial and Cambridge, Southall’s Dormers Wells High School has hosted its latest Sixth Form open evening for prospective students.

A very successful evening saw the school hall full of young people keen to join a sixth form that has sent its students to universities attended by USA presidents, diplomats, directors and politicians.

Current students helped during the evening showing prospective students what it is like at Dormers Wells High School. Specialist teachers also provided advice and guidance on the academic courses on offer and opportunities available by studying at the school.

In a recent Ofsted report, inspectors said: “Teachers are experts in their subjects. They consider the ways they can extend the learning beyond the curriculum.”

Speaking to EALING.NEWS,  Grace Dawson, head of Sixth Form at Dormers Wells High School said: “Life as a sixth form student at Dormers Wells High School is exciting, challenging and enjoyable. Students leave with valuable qualifications, experiences and skills for life, they go on to further education or the world of work as ambitious, principled, caring and internationally minded young people with love for learning.”
