Bank giant Barclays has confirmed that its Park Royal branch will be shutting for good in the summer and closing on 9 August 2024.
The move means that Barclays Bank will only have two branches across the borough – one in Ealing Broadway and one in Southall.
Over recent years, Barclays has been downsizing its branch network across the UK which locally has seen branches in South Ealing, Greenford, West Ealing and Acton also closing down.
In making its decision to close the Park Royal branch, Barclays said few customers are using the branch on a regular basis and through telephone and online banking it will service customer needs.
Barclays said: “Less than 10 customers use this branch regularly as the only way to do their banking. 32% of this branch’s customers have used nearby branches in the last 12 months.”
