The Felix Project gets Access to Easter eggs

Access Self Storage has teamed up with Acton-based food redistribution charity The Felix Project to launch its annual Easter egg campaign which starts on 1 March 2024.

Access, which operates three branches in Acton, Hanwell and West Ealing, is appealing to locals to donate Easter eggs at its branches which The Felix Project will distribute to its network and provide as a seasonal treat for those in need.

Access is hoping to fill a phone box sized container of Easter eggs in all of its branches in Ealing and across another 31 collecting sites.

Jan Albert Fourie, general manager of operations at Access Self Storage said: “It’s so important for our store teams to work closely with their local communities and to be able to help those that will really benefit from this collection.

He added: “Our aim is to fill our storage units over and over whilst this campaign remains open and if we can collect 8,000 Easter Eggs this year we know the teams and our charity partner, The Felix Project and FareShare will be so grateful. If every customer donates just one Easter Egg throughout this campaign we can smash our target and make a huge difference.”

Staff working at Access have already begun collecting eggs and donations can be made at its stores between 1 March 2024 – 25 March 2024 in time for The Felix Project to collect and distribute them in time for Easter.

Richard Smith, head of food supply at The Felix Project said: “We are delighted to be working with Access Self Storage and receiving Easter Eggs. We know that many families struggle to afford to feed their families and at times like Easter parents often feel more pressure to spend money they do not have on luxuries like chocolate eggs. Being able to get them from their local food banks or other support service is a huge help and means they do not have to worry about their children going without.”
