Students from Ealing’s Stagecoach Performing Arts School were among 73 young people aged 11-18 from the UK, Australia, Germany, Lithuania and Malta who took part in ‘Bring It On: The Musical’, based on the Bring It On movie at the G Live theatre in Guildford.
The event, where the students performed four shows over two days, is part of Stagecoach’s annual Summer Showcase which began in 1991.
Bring It On: The Musical explores the dramas of two cheer leading squads.
Speaking to EALING.NEWS, principle Stagecoach Ealing, Valerie Weyland said: “The summer showcase is a much sought after event amongst our students as it provides a fantastic experience in the summer holidays – where the students rehearse at a professional standard and end with a wonderful show for friends and family to show for their efforts. The standard is incredibly high and our student has done amazingly well to be selected.”
Stagecoach director Gary Jerry said: “It has been an absolute pleasure to work with such an enthusiastic group of young performers. They are extremely motivated and professional and have displayed an incredible range of performing arts talent, whilst having fun and bonding with their peers throughout the two-week rehearsal workshop. The performances were a fantastic display of talent and community, and I couldn’t be prouder of them.”
