Fabio Pukaj standing for the Reform UK in Hanger Hill answers the 7 questions:

Tell us a bit about yourself, your priorities for the ward and why you want to be councillor for Hanger Hill?
Hey, my name is Fabio, and I’m running as a candidate for Hanger Hill with Reform UK because I know that this community deserves real change and a brighter future. My experiences running an online business and working as a waiter have taught me the importance of resilience and creating opportunities for others. I want to be a councillor for Hanger Hill because I have a deep understanding of the issues we face, such as rising crime and lack of opportunities, and I believe I have the energy and fresh perspective needed to tackle them. My goal is to make Hanger Hill a place where everyone can feel secure, grow,
and succeed without unnecessary restrictions.

What motivates you?
My motivation comes from my personal experiences of overcoming obstacles and my desire to create meaningful change for others. I’ve always been driven by the possibility of helping people succeed, and I believe everyone deserves the chance to reach their full potential.
Seeing the struggles faced by Hanger Hill residents in areas like crime and lack of opportunities motivates me to make a positive difference and create a community where everyone feels secure and supported.

What is your own personal connection to either Hanger Hill or any other part of the borough?
I’ve lived close to Hanger Hill and built relationships within the area over the years. My connection comes from understanding firsthand how the local issues, like rising crime and unnecessary regulations, have impacted people’s lives. This has inspired me to run for councillor, with a deep commitment to improving the community for everyone.

What do you consider to be your 3 top political, work or personal achievements and what impact have they had?
Running my first online business at 16: This taught me valuable lessons in entrepreneurship and connecting with people, which I now apply in my vision for
helping others succeed.
Working as a waiter: I gained resilience and a strong work ethic, which has shaped my approach to tackling challenges and finding solutions.
Deciding to run as a candidate at 21: This shows my dedication to public service and my commitment to making a real difference for Hanger Hill and the borough.

What do you consider to be the top 3 challenges Hanger Hill faces and how will you as a councillor address them?
Rising crime: I will push for stronger community safety measures, ensuring residents feel secure in their homes and public spaces.
Limited opportunities: I’ll work to create more jobs, training, and resources that empower people to succeed, especially the youth.
Unnecessary regulations: I’ll fight to remove rules that hinder residents’ everyday lives, making it easier for people to flourish.

What do you love about Hanger Hill and the borough of Ealing?
I love the sense of community that exists in Hanger Hill and the borough of Ealing. It’s a place where people look out for one another and want to see each other succeed. Also people here genuinely care about each other’s well-being, and there’s a shared desire to see the community flourish. There’s a lot of potential here, and I’m excited to help unlock it.

How accessible will you be to Hanger Hill residents and how can they get in contact with you now and if elected how will you ensure you are accessible to them in the future?
I’m committed to being fully accessible to Hanger Hill residents. You can contact me now via email at fabpuka@yahoo.com, and I will continue to make myself available through direct communication and community meetings if elected.
