A haunted Halloween house and walk through in Northolt that has been scaring and delighting people young and old for years has raised £550 for Ealing’s Meadow House Hospice.
Organised by Lisa and Jason Cole, the annual Halloween attraction at Kempton Avenue took place on 31 October 2024 and raises money for charity by attracting hundreds of people to witness an event featuring animated props, visual effects, live actors and lighting effects.

Like last year, proceeds will be going to Meadow House Hospice in Ealing in honour of Mr Cole’s mother Marilyn who passed away in 2023 after fighting cancer for six years.
Her daughter-in-law Lisa revealed how the night went: “We successfully raised £550 by donations for Meadow House Hospice. Amanda from the hospice came to witness our efforts and see how we do halloween at The Haunted House Northolt.
“The night was extremely successful. We were meant to only go on until 9pm but the queue was solid, from 5pm until gone 10pm, that we stayed open to spook the very last guest with security here, keeping everyone in line and safe, behind the safety barriers that Petts Hill Primary School loaned to us.
“At 5pm The dancers from SA Dance Academy blew everyone away, opening The Haunted House with their Thriller dance, whilst we supplied the smoke machines and lighting… it all added to the atmosphere looking really authentic, and capturing everyone’s attention.
“Anna, from The Oracle, gave tarot card readings by candle light. Radio Harrow interviewed some of the crowd and did song requests. Our very own Michael Jackson came out to entertain and have selfies with everyone. Our local MP James Murray, fitted us into his busy schedule and again came along as he did last year being the only person to brave The Haunted House alone.”
Ms Cole also revealed plans are developing for their annual Xmas event. She said: “We will now be starting on a magical christmas setting, where children can come along and book to see Santa giving him their personal letters, whilst receiving a gift. Dates to be confirmed.”
