Public told to mask up again when going to hospital in Ealing

With an increase in Covid-19 cases in London and across the UK, hospitals in Ealing are now requiring all patients coming into Ealing Hospital, Southall and Central Middlesex Hospital, Park Royal to wear masks when in clinical areas and waiting rooms.

London North West University Healthcare (LNWH) which runs hospitals in Ealing as well as Northwick Park in Harrow has said there has been an increase in patient admissions due to Covid.

Helen Hardy, deputy head nurse for LNWH, said: “We are adopting a more cautious approach but there will be no changes to our current visiting policy. It’s about protecting our most vulnerable patients and staff so we are asking visitors to wear PPE and masks in wards and clinical areas.”
