Help shape and have your say in how Old Oak and Park Royal develops

Local people living or working in the Old Oak and Park Royal areas are being invited to become part of a member group set up to provide input on how the area is being developed.

Under The Mayor of London’s development corporation for Old Oak and Park Royal (OPDC), the Community Review Group (CRG) has been established for local people to have their say on what is happening in the area as it takes shape with plans for new homes, new offices and other facilities for community and business needs.

OPDC is looking for people, aged 16 and above to join the group which was first established in 2018 and already has provided input on a number of community initiatives and use of areas including North Acton town centre and Atlas Wharf.

Former CRG member Celia Toler said of being part of the group: “I have learnt a lot from being a member of the Community Review Group. It has helped me to understand what I have to offer, and I would recommend this experience to anyone who feels responsibility and a desire to engage in what happens to our neighbourhood.”

Liz Peace CBE, chair of OPDC said: “Our Community Review Group has already started to influence the future of the Old Oak and Park Royal area, feeding into many exciting and high-profile planning applications. With our Local Plan newly adopted, the Group will be moving up a gear with a range of opportunities to shape the developments that will define what our area will become, so now is a fantastic time to join the Group and get involved. We’re committed to creating a lively and flourishing district where the benefits of regeneration are available to everyone and our Community Review Group is one of the many ways that we listen to the needs of local residents and ensure that regeneration works for them.”

Applications close 9 September 2022 and more information can be found here.
