Grassroots football across Middlesex is set for a major boost as Middlesex FA, based at Rectory Park in Northolt, becomes one of 15 County Football Associations to partner with bank payment company GoCardless.
The partnership will see GoCardless support key Middlesex FA programmes, including the Disability County Cup and the Middlesex 5s Youth Tournament, helping expand opportunities for players of all ages and abilities.
Nick Phipps, commercial and partnerships manager at Middlesex FA, said: “Our partnership with GoCardless is making a real difference across Middlesex football — from supporting our Disability County Cup to helping grow the Middlesex 5s Youth Tournament. Their support allows us to provide more inclusive, high-quality opportunities for players of all ages and abilities to enjoy the game.”
Catherine Birkett, chief financial officer at GoCardless, said: “We believe County FAs play a vital role in their communities. They support football clubs in bringing people together, forging friendships, and developing the stars of the future. By streamlining their payment processes, we’re giving clubs back the time to focus on what truly matters – making a positive impact both on and off the pitch.”
The partnership with Middlesex FA forms part of GoCardless’s wider commitment to support 15 County FAs nationwide, with six more expected to join in the coming months
