Update: Police appeal for witnesses and cam footage after 33-year-old car passenger dies following Range Rover colliding with Tesla and crashing into Park Royal Underground station

Police are appealing for any witnesses, and any information including dashcam or CCTV footage, to a fatal car collision in which a 33-year-old woman died yesterday (22 August 2022) after the car she was a passenger in hit a stationary vehicle near Park Royal Underground station and landed on train tracks.

At around 3.38am, police were called to the collision along with the London Ambulance Service where they discovered two cars, a Range Rover and a Tesla had collided and the Range Rover had left the road and gone onto the nearby rail track.  The Tesla was stationary.

A 33-year-old woman passenger in the Range Rover – died at the scene. Her family have been informed.

The Range Rover driver, a 23-year-old man, has been taken to hospital where his condition is critical. The condition of a second Range Rover passenger, a 26-year-old woman, is not life-threatening,

A 56-year-old man, who is believed to have been with the stationary Tesla, was treated for non life-threatening injuries.

Detective Constable Ben Simpson, investigating, said: “It is imperative that anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has any dash cam, CCTV or doorbell footage of the moments leading up to it, make contact with the police immediately. A person has died and another remains critically ill in hospital and we need the public’s help to build our picture of what has happened here.”

Cordons were put in place following the collision and the Piccadilly Line was part suspended.
