Police appeal to car driver who may be witness to collision earlier this month in Popes Lane

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for the driver of a blue Hyundai Ioniq to come forward as he may be a witness to a collision in Popes Lane in which a man in his 70s was hit by a motorcycle and was left with life-threatening injuries.

Police were called at 1.48pm on December 3 2022 to Popes Lane near the junction with Gunnersbury Drive following reports of the incident and attended with London Ambulance Service. The man remains in a life-threatening condition.

The motorcyclist stopped at the scene and is helping police with their enquiries. He has not been arrested.

The driver of the blue Hyundai Ioniq, described as an Asian man, stopped to assist and police are seeking his help.

Police are also appealing to other members of the public who may have seen something and to call them 0208 246 9820. Or dial 101 and give the reference 3519/03DEC.
