Ealing youth get connected with free wellbeing event

To mark Blue Monday in January, members of Ealing Young Champions from the Young Ealing Foundation will be hosting a free event for those aged 12-25 that aims to help with dealing with one of the most challenging times of the year.

Blue Monday has been described by some as “the most depressing day of the year” and the Ealing Young Champions have put on an event to turn Blue Monday into a “fun-filled positive wellbeing day”.

The Get Connected event, between 4pm-8pm on 16 January 2023 at the Ealing Project, will feature a number of activities throughout the evening including art, baking and writing. As well as activities going on, free pizza and refreshments will also be provided.

The Young Ealing Foundation intend for it to be an evening of connection for young people to spend a few hours in the company of others.

A film will also be shown in the Ealing Project cinema.

The Ealing Young Champions say they have put on this this event to help their peers and also show which methods they use themselves to relax or elevate their mood when it comes to improving mental health and wellbeing.

A number of booths will feature individual activities and, depending on the booth, will be run by the Ealing Young Champions themselves.
