New TV show looking for Ealing residents let down by builders

A new Channel 4 TV show presented by  Stacey Solomon is looking for Ealing residents who would like help to improve their homes after being left high and dry by dodgy builders.

Brickin’ It aims to give viewers easy and helpful tips to do a makeover of their homes as well as fixing problems when other builders have not completed work.

The series will feature Stacey to the rescue of homeowners and show how to do brick laying, basic plumbing, roof-tiling and more. It will feature both large homes as well as small ones.

The series is being produced by Hello Sunshine. Founded by Hollywood actress Reese Witherspoon who in 2002 starred in a Ealing studios production of The Importance of Being Earnest. The film, based on the Oscar Wilde book. was filmed at Pitzhanger Manor.

Stacey Solomon said: “From an early age, my dad taught me DIY and the importance of fixing things yourself where you can. I still find it so satisfying to build or repair around the house and it saves loads of money. I am beyond excited to work with Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine on their first ever UK project. They are all about empowering women and what could be more empowering than a power tool?! It’s a dream come true to share my DIY hacks with everyone at home.”
