Ealing Hospital offices set to bloom with “Operation Pot Plant”

Workspace offices across Ealing Hospital are set to bloom following a donation by Ealing League of Friends (ELoF) which will provide an indoor plant for every office.

The “Operation Pot Plant” initiative sees ELoF offering up to 100 plants to staff at the London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust (LNWH)  hospital who would like one for their office.

Nearby Kew Gardens has also offered to give staff an insight into plants on how to green workspace.  As well as a potted plant, staff are also being offered free tickets to visit the world famous botanical gardens.

Anne Cousins, ELoF manager said: “We raise money for the hospital through our sandwich bar to pay for equipment and make life a little more comfortable for patients. This is just an extra thank you to staff for all their hard work. I guess we’ll have to see if they are as good at looking after plants as they are at looking after people.”

Ms Cousins added: “We were delighted Kew Gardens gave us the thumbs up when we approached them. You can’t get a better endorsement than that when it comes to anything green.”
