Acton’s ActOne’s April 2024 programming will see not one but three National Theatre Live plays, two Royal Ballet performances broadcast live in real-time, climate emergency double bill, a live concert in the auditorium and of course, plenty of films and happenings.
We will host our third ever Board Games Night on 3 April from 6 pm. Free entry, all enthusiasts and all levels are welcome!
4 April at 4 pm offers a modified screening of Baltimore, a bold and thrilling film about the ferocity and complexity of the English rose-turned-firebrand activist. Relaxed screenings are weekly autism and dementia-friendly performances designed primarily for our neurodivergent guests. We accept CEA cards and carers and PAs go free.
Kelley Suttenfield Jazz Quartet will bring a multimedia event to Screen 1 on Saturday 6 April, doors open at 8 pm for a special, live concert inside the auditorium accompanied by clips from great musical moments on film.
7 April at 2 pm will host the third showing of National Theatre Live: The Motive and The Cue.
Royal Ballet: Macmillan Celebration will be broadcast LIVE for one night only on Tuesday 9 April at 7 pm.
Short film Open Mic Sound & Vision presents a range of new short films of all genres, followed by networking drinks amongst filmmakers on 10 April at 6 pm.
13 April at 2:15 pm, Getting It Back: The Story of Cymande, a tribute to unsung heroes, the band Cymande.
14 April at 2 pm will see a return of Andrew Scott portraying multiple characters in National Theatre Live: Vanya.
Ealing Repair Café will bring their Mend & Natter on Wednesday between 2 – 4 pm where they’ll teach you how to mend your clothes. The exact date is to be confirmed.
20 April at 2 pm offers a special double bill in our climate emergency series, the UK premiere of Until The End of The World + Poros Stands, followed by a live Q&A.
Making Shakespeare: The First Folio + Live Q&A with the director Nicola Stockley and the producer Richard Denton will be held on 21 April at 2:15 pm.
A one-night-only performance of NYE with brilliant Michael Sheen will be broadcast LIVE to the cinemas on 23 April at 7 pm. Unlike NT Live which is a recorded performance, NYE will be shown as it is being performed at the Olivier Stage of the National Theatre in real-time.
We will see another one-night-only performance on 24 April at 7 pm, a Live Broadcast of Royal Ballet: Swan Lake, a quintessential classic with Tchaikovsky’s mesmerising score.
We will close another busy month on 25 April with our wonderful Open Mic Night. Sign up from 7:30 pm, performances start at 8 pm on a first-come, first-served basis.
