Discover Christmas seasonal fun happening in Ealing and Acton

The festive season is is now here and across Ealing and Acton everyone is getting into the spirit with plenty of good fun happening. Terence Long for Winkworth Ealing & Acton estate agents shares details of where the festive fun is to be had this holiday season.

So, calendars at the ready, you’re going to need them for what’s set to be the best December yet.

Ealing Broadway
A winter market, snow flurries on a clear day, live music, and even Santa himself – what more could you ask for? The ultimate day out for all the family is at Ealing Broadway. With new events every day, it’s not one to miss:

Pop-up Card Shop
There’s two types of people in the world: those who send their Christmas cards on the 1st of November, or those who are running door-to-door on December 24th. If you’re in the first category, it’s a shame – you’ll have missed the Ealing Pop-up Charity Christmas card shop.

Now in its 38th year, give a little bit extra and help raise money for a wide range of good causes, including Age UK, Cancer Research, and RNLI.

Seasonal spooks
Spooky season for many ended midnight November 1st, but if you like a fright on Christmas night, then Questors Ealing Theatre has you covered. They’ve once again dimmed their stage lights to bring tales of ghosts and ghouls.

This year, their theme covers the horrors of the depths – where phantom ships lie in wait and ghostly happenings can drive even the most straight-laced sailor to madness. Get your ticket for this one-night-only show.

Find treasure at The Fox Garden
Strolling through a market is a new tradition many have embraced during the festive season, and The Fox Garden is hosting their own. With more stalls than ever before, browse a host of lovely things from local vendors – including vintage trinkets, hand-poured candles, illustrations, and more.

There’s also a rumour that Father Christmas is paying a visit, so be sure to catch him before he flies off.

Feast of kings
The pinnacle of the winter season for some is the food – and lots of it. Which do you prefer? Sweet or savoury or both! It doesn’t matter, as No.17 Dickens Yard has a festive menu for you to sample and indulge in every delight.

Their tables are booking up fast, so whether you want to catch up with friends over seasonal tipples, or simply gather the family for some great holiday food, you need to act fast.

Father Christmas at Gunnersbury
There’s something different about Gunnersbury Park’s Father Christmas this year…

Step back in time to Christmas’ past with a truly Victorian experience that Scrooge would learn to love, with decorations to take home. You can even pay a visit to the man himself, tucked up in his study and dressed in his traditional robes.

A community celebration Food? Check. Seasonal stalls? Check. Carol singing? Check.
Acton Market is the place to be this festive season. Over 10 days, they’re celebrating everything we love about this time of year – and it all kicks off with a tree lighting ceremony.

Roll up at the Aeronaut
All I want for Christmas is a night at the Aeronaut. Why? With a table at their pub, you don’t have to lift a finger.

From festive food and drink served to your table, and a seat to watch their circus themed entertainment that lasts all night long, you’re free from juggling presents, cooking, and managing your relatives.
