Ealing Blues Festival celebrates 35 years

This year’s Ealing Blues Festival looks set to be the biggest and best as it marks 35 years since the renowned music event started.

“The festival started as a community event, a bit of fun for a few local bands, but it’s grown to become one of the best-attended blues gigs in the UK,” said founder and artistic director Robert Hokum. “This year it brings to Walpole Park some of the UK’s biggest names in blues-based rock and roots music, from established performers such as Chris Jagger and Dr Feelgood’s Wilko Johnson to Emma Wilson, who’s just been voted Emerging Blues Artist of 2022.”

Other highlights of the two day event include a tribute to Alexis Korner and Cyril Davies who founded the famous music venue, the Ealing Blues Club in 1962.

The event, which is part of the Ealing Summer Festival, takes place on July 23 and July 24 and tickets can be booked in advance now for both days or individual days.
