OPDC’s CEO, David Lunts said: “Acton and Park Royal are home to some of the capital’s most interesting and creative artists, makers and producers. As the Mayor’s development corporation for regenerating the area, we’re working to invest in and support local people and businesses. The Creative Enterprise Zone, Open Call for Ideas, will enable more people to access important funding to support the creative industries and we’re looking forward to supporting the innovative new ideas.”
Councillor Bassam Mahfouz, the council’s cabinet member for decent living incomes, added: “We are lucky to have a great amount of talent in the borough and I was blown away by some of the creations we saw at the CEZ launch last month. We are looking to nurture this talent and give locals more opportunities by offering this funding in partnership with the OPDC. This is a really exciting opportunity to share ideas, grow a business and deliver new jobs.”
