ActOne Cinema which opened in October 2021 at the former Acton Library has now launched a fundraising campaign to enable a second screen to be installed by the end of the year.
Since launching, thousands of people including young and old have enjoyed a range of films from Hollywood blockbusters through to classics and independent cinema treats. By adding a second screen, ActOne can further grow and have more variety on offer to the community as well as further securing the future of the cinema.
Organised by Acton Arts Project, the cinema is seeking to raise £154,289 and so far has secured support of £94,000 with £85,000 coming from Acton Business Improvement District (BID).
In a blog post, Amanada Mason, a director of ActOne said: “We’ve got off to a flying start with a substantial contribution from the Acton BID, who will be funding the technical aspects of the new screen. We need your help to build it!”
