West Ealing’s creative studio SET Ealing, which is home to dozens of artists is to host a festive winter fair on 15 December 2022.
From 6pm to 9pm, guests attending the SET Ealing Makers’ Market, will be treated to an evening of mince pies, live music and mulled wine while being able to choose from an array of handmade unique gifts created by the artists.
From painting to ceramics, a wide range of gifts will be under the SET Ealing roof.
During the event, there will also be a guided tour to discover work from a number of artists who are based at SET Ealing including Afghan Academy International, Julie Brixey-Williams, Jo Chate, Sarah Dwyer, Alek Mechlinski, Houria Niati and Richard Wilson.
SET Ealing, was launched in October 2022 by SET, a charity that offers low cost space for over 500 creatives across London who are looking for a space to call home for their creative endeavours. It provides space in previously vacant property that it brings to life again to be used for creative purposes and until the owner of the property decides what they want to do next with it.
From abstract artists to clothing designers and ceramic creatives to photographers, SET Ealing has attracted artists locally as well as from across London to be based at its new location.
Among the artists based at SET Ealing is 74-year-old Houria Niati who was born in Khemis Miliana, French Algeria in 1948 and lived through the war of independence in the country, Richard Williamson is a craftsman working with leather and fashion designer Jen Yuen who upcycles.
