Hanwell music night raising money to help homeless

A fundraising music night with proceeds going to a charity helping the homeless in West London is taking place on Saturday (14 September 2024) at Hanwell’s The Green pub.

Local musician Rick Rutkowski is organising the night to support the work of Shelter from the Storm which provides free emergency bed along with meals for homeless people.

Speaking to EALING.NEWS, Mr Rutkowski said: “I work in adult social care and have put on charity events before and as homelessness is such a major issue, I wanted to make a small difference in Ealing. The head office of Shelter from the Storm is in Islington but its services cover West London including Ealing.”

The evening starts at 7:30pm and features four bands consisting of local musicians

7:30pm: The Robyn Backhouse band (with Niall and Tim)
8:15pm: Those Dirty McGuffins

9:00 Break for a raffle featuring super prizes

9:30pm: King Ralph 2 (with Niall and Tim)
10:30pm: Geoff Garbow Band

The bar will be open until 12:30am and admission is a £5 donation on the door.
