As well as the dinosaurs, prehistoric fans will also get an opportunity to meet Mary Anning who in the 19th century was known as the “Princess of Palaeontology”.

EALING.NEWS spoke to Make It Ealing’s Desh Gunatilake to find out more.

You brought dinosaurs to Ealing last year, how popular was it?
Yes, we held it for the first-time last year. It was quite a successful event and was well attended on both days. We also had over 150 correct responses to our dinosaur trail, which encouraged people to walk around our town centre.
How many prizes are there and what are they? Who are some of the shops that are taking part in it.
We have two dinosaur themed goodie bundles– which includes a giant chocolate egg, dinosaur activity books (including a couple fun interactive ones), and various other goodies. We have a great mix of businesses participating this year: Yuzu (beauty salon), Dickens Yard Dental (dentist practice), Greenka (plant shop), and Little Me Time (children’s play cafe)– just to name a few.
What children’s age is it aimed at?
It’s open to all ages! Dinosaur loving adults are also welcome to attend/participate– it’s a completely FREE event!
Tell us about Mary Anning who will be coming to Ealing from the 19th century?
Featuring our friends at A Wonderful Adventure theatre company– you will find Mary Anning the “Princess of Palaeontology” at the Dinosaur Dig Site! She will be there with her faithful dog Tray and her Father ready to answer questions anyone may have about Mary Anning, palaeontology, and of course dinosaurs.
