Asda launches new Asda Express in Acton

Supermarket giant Asda continues with its expansion in Ealing with the launch of its second Asda Express branch in the borough.

Last month saw Asda Express open in West Ealing and now a second branch has opened in Acton, opposite Acton Main Line station and a few minutes walk from rivals Sainsbury’s and Co-op.

The branch, which has created 13 new jobs is located on Friary Road and is also the sixth standalone Asda Express in the country. Asda says it plans to launch a further 300 Express stores by the end of 2026.

The new store offerrs a range of over  3,000 products including fresh, ambient and chilled groceries, as well as a broad selection of beers, wines and spirits and is open from 7am – 10pm Monday – Sunday.

Andy Perry, MD of Convenience at Asda said: “We’re excited to be bringing our new convenience offering to Acton and we’re confident the store will offer customers everything they need – whether that’s popping in for a pint of milk, grabbing a spot of lunch on the go, or buying the fresh ingredients to cook dinner from scratch. We’re also delighted to be welcoming 13 new colleagues to the Asda family and thank them for their hard work so far in bringing our convenience vision to life.”
