Travelodge looking to add six new hotels across Ealing

Hotel chain Travelodge is looking to open six new hotels across Ealing as part of a massive expansion across London and will bring the total number of Ealing borough Travelodges to 10.

It says it is aiming to have new hotels in the following locations: South Ealing, Northfields, Southall, Ealing Broadway, West Ealing and Hanwell.

Travelodge already has four hotels in the borough including Park Royal, Northolt, North Acton and an existing one in Ealing Broadway on Uxbridge Road.

The company revealed its plans at the opening of a new hotel in Docklands, east London in which is said up to 6,000 new jobs would be created across the capital with a £3bn investment in growing its properties.

Steve Bennett, Travelodge chief property & development Officer said: “London remains a key growth area for us as the Capital is growing at pace, attracting millions of visitors from all corners of the UK. However with more Britons choosing to stay in a budget hotel than any other hotel type there is a shortage of good quality and low cost accommodation across London.”

He added: “To help fill this growing gap, we are actively looking to expand our London hotel network with a further 127 hotel sites. This expansion could represent an investment of over £3 billion for third party investors and create around 6,000 new jobs.”
