Ealing’s University of West London (UWL) has awarded an honorary doctorate to digital entrepreneur Rajesh Sinha, founder and chair of Fulcrum Digital, in recognition of his contribution to technology innovation and his long association with UWL.
Mr Sinha received an Honorary Doctor of Business Administration on Tuesday (2 December 2025) during the first day of UWL’s graduation ceremonies at Allianz Stadium, Twickenham. The university said the award recognised his impact in business, IT and entrepreneurship, as well as philanthropic work.
Fulcrum Digital, a platform and AI engineering services company, has worked with the university on major digital projects. The firm helped develop UWL’s student portal, launched in 2012, and the MyUWL student app launched in 2024.
In an acceptance speech, Mr Sinha said his relationship with UWL began almost 15 years ago when he met the vice-chancellor, Professor Peter John, and the pro vice-chancellor (people and digital), Adrian Ellison, to discuss digital transformation and what he called a “next-generation student experience”.
Mr Sinha said their discussions reinforced the importance of ensuring technology “serves us rather than us serving it”, arguing that this would be increasingly important in the era of AI.
