A new community centre has opened in West Ealing, offering residents and grassroots groups a shared space for activities, advice and cultural events.
The W13 Impact Hub, run by Golden Opportunity Skills and Development (GOSAD), is based on Bayham Road and will serve as a base for four local organisations – the United Anglo Caribbean Society, Ealing Somali Welfare & Cultural Association, CAME Women & Girls Development Association, and the Horn of Africa Disability & Elders Association – alongside GOSAD.
The launch last week (30 September 2025) was marked with a special opening event attended by the deputy mayor of Ealing, Councillor Faduma Mohamed, Councillor Aysha Raza, residents and partner organisations. Guests were served food prepared by local families and had the chance to meet neighbours and colleagues.
The hub plans to host a wide range of activities, including wellbeing sessions, digital inclusion workshops, skills training, youth projects and cultural events. It will also be available to hire for meetings and community use.
Sharmarke Diriye, GOSAD’s managing director, said the hub was intended to be “more than a building” and described it as a space for “collaboration, diversity and community action”.
Councillor Mohamed added that the centre would be “a true asset for West Ealing”, highlighting its role in bringing people together and supporting grassroots organisations.
