Appeal for information after man robbed on Central Line train at East Acton station

Officers from British Transport Police (BTP) are appealing for information after a man was robbed on a Central Line train at East Acton underground station on April 15 2023.

According to MyLondon, the man, in his twenties, was threatened with a knife by three men who stole his wallet, phone and jacket at 3pm in the afternoon.

Currently, not all Central Line trains have CCTV in their carriages.  Transport for London says it is rolling out CCTV across the trains in a phased approach which will see the line having all trains fitted with CCTV by 2025.

It says all train platforms have CCTV which is monitored.

BTP is asking anyone with information to contact them by texting 61016 with reference ‘358 of 15 April’. Or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
