A former Metropolitan Police officer will appear in court today charged with rape.
Former PC Jade Ebanks joined the Met in June 2021 and was attached to North West BCU before he resigned on 21 April 2023.
A week later on 28 April 2023 Ebanks was charged with five counts of rape and will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court today
The offences are reported to have occurred between 2018 and 2020 in Ealing and Hillingdon and involve the same victim.
He was arrested on 5 May 2022 as part of an investigation by officers from the South West Public Protection Unit and was suspended from duty.
