A freedom of information request has revealed between 2021 and February 2024, a driver in Ealing was recorded speeding at 99 mph.
The highest speed captured by camera in London was 144 mph in Havering while neighbouring boroughs Brent recorded 114 mph, Hillingdon recorded 105 mph and Hounslow was 99.
When it comes to number of speed cameras in a borough, Camden came top with 135 while Ealing has 40. Neighbouring boroughs Brent has 35, Hillingdon has 43 and Hounslow was 54.
The FOI request was submitted by Carlease.co.uk to London’s Metropolitan Police.

Utilise cruise control on highways to help maintain a consistent and legal speed. Additionally, regularly check your speedometer and be mindful of posted speed limits to keep your driving in check.”
