Three teenagers deny murdering Ealing teenager stabbed by Grand Union canal in Scrubs Lane

Three male teenagers – aged 14, 15 and 17 years old – have denied murdering 17-year-old Victor Lee from Ealing who was found stabbed on 25 June 2023 by the Grand Union towpath under Scrubs Lane, W10.

Police were called at 5:45pm on 25 June 2023 to reports of a male in the canal under Scrubs Lane, W10 suffering from stab injuries.

Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended the scene. Victor was pulled from the water and despite the efforts of the emergency services he was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:09pm.

A post-mortem examination on 28 June 2023 gave the cause of death as a stab wounds.

On 30 June 2023 detectives arrested and charged three males – aged 14, 15 and 17 years old – on suspicion of murder and robbing him of his bicycle and rucksack

Today (20 September 2023) all three entered not guilty pleas at a hearing at the Old Bailey before Judge Nigel Lickley and were remanded in custody ahead of a trial to begin in May next year.

Judge Lickley said a case management hearing will take place on 20 December 2023.
