Two men from Northolt and one from Acton charged with importing 390kg of cannabis with a street value of £3.9m

Five people including three men from Ealing have been arrested and charged by Metropolitan Police after 390kg of cannabis with a street value of £3.9m was seized by Border Force officers at Stansted Airport last month.

The three men from Ealing, Hasin Hulusi, 58 of Shadwell Drive, Northholt; Mohammed Ali, 28 of Hope Gardens, Acton and Deepak Bhatti, 48 of Belvue Road, Northolt were arrested along with Guy Stevens, 33 of Hayes and a 17-year-old male.

According to police, two shipments of cannabis were seized at Stansted Airport on 26 and 27 January 2024 and a previous shipment of 300kg of “a substance believed to be cannabis” was delivered on 11 January 2024 to an address in Hayes was also linked to the investigation.

In a statement, Met Police said: “Working at pace following these seizures, Met officers executed warrants on 1 February 2024 at industrial units in Hayes and Northolt. Three men and one juvenile were arrested in Hayes. One man was arrested in a van which was stopped by police in Northolt.”

All four men appeared at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on 3 February 2024 where they were remanded in custody to appear at Harrow Crown Court on Friday 1 March. The 17-year-old youth also appeared at Willesden Magistrates’ Court charged with importing cannabis and was released on bail.
