A 33-year-old woman from Feltham has been charged with the murder of her 57-year-old mother in Feltham after remains of a body be were found in the canal off Bulls Bridge Lane, Southall.
Arizo Nour, of Northumberland Crescent, Feltham, appeared at the Old Bailey on 11 August 2023 and was charged with the murder of 57-year-old Karima Nour. She was remanded in custody to appear at the same court on 1 December 2023
This follows an incident where police were called to an address in Northumberland Crescent, Feltham, at 10:26pm on 6 August 2023 to reports of a concern for welfare.
According to police, there was no one found inside the home but they found signs of a disturbance.
After searches were carried out in the canal off Bulls Bridge Lane in Southall on 7 August, remains of the body of Karima Nour were found in the canal.
The investigation is being led by detectives from the Metropolitan Police’s Specialist Crime Command.
Chief Superintendent Sean Wilson, local policing commander in West London said: “This was a shocking incident and my thoughts are with the friends and family of Karima Nour. I appreciate the community’s patience while cordons have been in place to allow searches of the canal to be carried out.”
