Ealing commemorates those who have fought and fallen on Armistice Day and Remembrance Sunday

As the nation comes together for Armistice Day on Friday 11 November 2022 and Remembrance Sunday on 13 November 2022, residents across the borough will commemorate and show their respect to those who fought for the country in war and those who died in their fight for freedom.

There will be a two-minute silence taking place outside Ealing Town Hall on Armistice Day (Friday 11/11) at 11am.

On Sunday 13 November 2022, parades and services to honour Remembrance Day will be taking place at three towns across Ealing which start also at 11am. Councillors and leaders from Ealing Labour, Ealing Liberal Democrats and Ealing Conservative political parties will be attending the various events.

In Ealing town itself, Mayor of Ealing, Councillor Mohinder Midha, will attend the parade and service at Ealing Green War Memorial which is located in front of Pitzhanger Manor by Walpole Park.

There are also services in Greenford town and also Southall town.

At Greenford Broadway , the local branch of the Royal British Legion will march to Greenford War Memorial from its headquarters in Oldfield Lane South for a public service at 11am. In attendance will be Deputy Mayor, Councillor Hitesh Tailor

While in Southall, residents will gather in Manor Park at the Southall War Memorial at 10.30am, ready for a service at 11am. In attendance will be previous Mayor, Councillor Munir Ahmed.
