A partnership between Ealing Council and schools in the borough has received an award for its performance and impact it has in helping young people.
Ealing Learning Partnership (ELP), which is run between 85 schools across Ealing and the council, has scooped a Silver Award for Impact through Partnership in the Pearson National Teaching Awards.
Julie Lewis, director of learning standards and school partnerships at Ealing Council said: “It is the conviction of our schools and the dedication of individual leaders who contribute directly to Ealing Learning Partnership’s aims, and who believe in our mission, that has resulted in this award.”.
Ms Lewis added: “This supportive network of brilliant educators do not just care about the performance of their own school or the outcomes of the pupils they teach; they care about all of Ealing’s children and young people. I am delighted that we have achieved this recognition”.
The news of the award came during National Thank A Teacher Day earlier this week (19 June 2024).
Sharon Hague, managing director of school assessment & qualifications at Pearson UK said: “We’re delighted to recognise this year’s Silver Award winners on their outstanding achievements. The contributions they make and the impact they have on young people’s lives every day is truly exceptional. We’re extremely proud to support the National Teaching Awards and mark the achievements of all of our very worthy winners. Thank you for your continued work and congratulations.”.
