An Ealing resident who has worked in marketing communications for 30 years has been awarded an honorary degree by the University of West London (UWL).
Russ Lidstone was one of six people awarded an honorary degree at a recent ceremony held at Twickenham Stadium where thousands of students graduated.
UWL says it awards honorary degrees to people with significant contributions to a specific field or to society in general.
Mr Lidstone, president of Inizio Engage XD and chief marketing officer of Inizio Engage was honoured in recognition of his role as an advisor to the London School of Film, Media and Design’s (LSFMD) advertising and PR courses.
He said of his recognition: “It is a moment of personal pride to have this honour conferred on me by a university for which I have a lot of respect – given its well-deserved positioning as ‘the career university’. A University in which I have lot of pride – given my association with LSFMD.”
