Ealing Southall MP Virendra Sharma was the guest speaker at an event to encourage people to be registered to vote.
West London College, in partnership with West London Citizens hosted a voter registration event at its Southall Community College as part of this week’s Colleges Week.
Mr Sharma spoke to over fifty childcare and ESOL students about the importance of registering to vote with the forthcoming Greater London Assemply, London Mayor and General Elections all taking place this year.
In his speech, Mr Sharma said: “If you want to live in a society which is a democracy, become involved in the decision-making process by registering to vote and taking part in elections.”
