Notting Hill & Ealing Junior School shortlised for top prep school prize

Notting Hill & Ealing High School (NHEHS) Junior School has been shortlisted for the Independent Prep School of the Year at the 2025 Independent Schools of the Year Awards.

Now in its eighth year, the awards recognise excellence across the UK’s independent education sector.

Kate Bevan, head of the junior school at NHEHS, said: “We’re thrilled to be shortlisted for Prep School of the Year. It’s a wonderful recognition of our outward-facing, academically ambitious approach and the joyful, all-round education we offer. We are proud to nurture curious, resilient and globally-minded pupils, and delighted to see that celebrated on a national stage.”

Chair of the judging panel, Dr Helen Wright, praised schools across the sector for their commitment during a period of ongoing uncertainty.

She said: “The judges have been particularly struck by the resilience and determination shown by the UK independent schools’ sector in the face of unprecedented challenge to their existence.

“Independent schools, it is clear, are working harder than ever to ensure that their students – and the whole community – will develop into well-rounded human global citizens who are able to make the most of their own skills in order to contribute positively to humanity.”

The finalists will be revealed on 9 September 2025, with the winners announced at a ceremony in October 2025.
