Ealing Parks Forum set to help shape the future of Ealing parks and green spaces

The first quarterly meeting of the newly formed Ealing Parks Forum has taken place at Ealing Council’s Perceval House building.

Ten different community groups with an interest in Ealing’s parks and green spaces came together on Tuesday (16 January 2024) with Chris Welsh, parks manager for the Borough to share information, ideas, opportunities and concerns and to work with each other.

Among the groups involved are Ealing Parks Foundation, CURB – Clean up the River Brent, Friends of Perivale Park, Friends of Grove Farm and Brent River and Canal Society.

The idea for the Ealing Parks Forum came out of a meeting in October 2023 led by Ealing Parks Foundation and which was agreed by those attending that the Foundation would set up a quarterly get together of interested parties.

Sonja Garsvo, chair of the Ealing Parks Foundation told EALING.NEWS: “The meeting was very constructive for all concerned and has opened up new ways of communicating on common opportunities and issues.”

Ms Garsvo added: “We are keen that representatives of other groups across the borough, both formal and informal, with an interest in our wonderful green spaces will want to be part of these quarterly meetings.”
