The project is undertaking the reintroduction of Beavers which will be taking place in the autumn at Paradise Fields in Greenford and in its pitch to attract filmmakers, the documentary is described as “Call for wildlife filmmaker to create a film celebrating the Ealing Beaver Project and showcasing urban wildlife and a pioneering community conservation initiative”.
Speaking to EALING.NEWS, Dr Sean McCormack, founder and chair of Ealing Wildlife Group said: “We’re super excited that plans are taking shape for Beaver reintroduction at Paradise Fields in Greenford this Autumn. It’s a pioneering urban rewilding project driven by community conservation groups like Ealing Wildlife Group, Citizen Zoo and Friends of Horsenden Hill, supported by Ealing Council, the Mayor of London and Beaver Trust. There’s lot’s going on behind the scenes so we’re looking for filmmakers to join us in documenting this exciting project over the coming months.”
Dr McCormack added: “We’re looking for innovative, dynamic visual storytellers who will showcase the community involvement and excitement of welcoming these important ecosystem engineers back into our urban landscapes. We’re all busy volunteers and time is ticking so we’re very excited to receive proposals by the deadline of June 19th.”
