Greenford restaurant wins curry award

A Greenford restaurant has been named the Best Indian Restaurant in Middlesex at this year’s Euro Asia Curry Awards.

Sunbardan Tandoori, based in Sudbury Heights Avenue, received the honour at a ceremony held at London’s ILEC Conference Centre in West Brompton last month (27 October 2025). The annual event celebrates excellence across the UK’s curry industry, recognising outstanding restaurants, takeaways, chefs and newcomers.

The family-run restaurant has been operating for 35 years and is owned by Abdul Rof.

More than 450 establishments and individuals entered the 2025 competition, with around 60 winners named in regional and national categories.

The Euro Asia Curry Awards were founded nine years ago by Bangladeshi chef and businessman Shorif Khan, who praised the resilience of the industry.

He said: “It was wonderful to be back again this year to celebrate the fantastic businesses and people that make the UK curry industry as loved as it is. Despite the long-term impacts of the pandemic and rising costs, these restaurants and takeaways continue to offer incredible food, service and value. What’s also very encouraging is that we’ve seen a lot of new openings in the past 12 months, many of which have been honoured at this year’s awards.”
