Greenford’s Wishing Well pub in The Broadway has re-opened as the Greenford Arms following a six figure refurbishment by owners Craft Union Pub Company who also want to help support local community charities and events.
The new name and look aims to pay homage to the local area and the community it is in and also sees new management along with events taking place throughout the week.
According to Craft Union Pub Company, £142,000 has been spent to improve the experience for customers and sees new interiors, eight large TVs to watch sporting events and improved audio visual equipment for live entertainment that takes place at the venue.
Among the entertainment taking place is karaoke nights on Wednesday, quiz night with prizes on Thursday and live music every Friday and Saturday night.
Moving from the Finchley Tavern in North Finchley, north London, Graham Leonard will be running the Greenford Arms.
Graham said: “I’m delighted to have opened the doors once again following our refurbishment, it’s great to see the place thriving once more with our new look. I’m looking forward to welcoming in more of the local people of Greenford, as we look to finish off the year in style here at the Greenford Arms.”
Graham added: “We have lots of exciting plans in the coming weeks and months. I am eager for the pub to get involved in lots of community initiatives and support as many local charities as possible. The Greenford Arms has been renamed after its local community as that is exactly who the pub is for.”
Greenford Arms is located at 10 The Broadway, Greenford, UB6 9PR and is open 10am to midnight Monday to Saturday and from noon to midnight on Sunday.
