People with skills of all levels in the care and health sector are being invited to to an open recruitment day at Clayponds Hospital later this month. The hospital is looking to fill a variety of positions from healthcare assistants through to nursing and therapy roles.
Clayponds, a specialist rehabilitation facility, offers support for people to recover from an illness in a community setting.
The hospital, part of West London NHS Trust and Ealing Community Partners, says the opportunities include part-time, full-time and flexible roles.
Candidates will be interviewed on the day and subject to HR checks job offers will also be made.
According to the the Trust, people with skills gained from working in roles including carers are encouraged to apply and staff are provided with ongoing training and support.
One member of staff, Samjana Thapa has been working at Clayponds for five years. Before working for the NHS, Samjana was working in a care home and prior that was in the hospitality sector.
Samjana said: “Working in a job that helps people is very motivating for me. Our managers here at Clayponds really look after the staff and care about us. Throughout the pandemic they went above and beyond and as much as possible encourage us to maintain a healthy work/life balance.”
According to Clayponds interim service manager Christine Wendham, training and development of its staff is something they are proud of.
Christine said: “Seeing patients recover from being very ill to then go home smiling with their families is really fulfilling. The whole environment and what we do at Clayponds keeps me very motivated. We like to look after our staff properly and develop them through a career. As a result, we have high retention rates – which makes us very proud!”
Clayponds open day is on 23 November 2022 from 9am to 4pm and it is located at Sterling Place, London, W5 4RN
