Ealing residents asked for their views on pharmacy services

Ealing residents are being invited to take part in a consultation on how they use pharmacy services in the borough.

As part of its statutory duty, the Ealing Health and Wellbeing Board (EHAWB) publish a pharmaceutical needs assessment every three years and the next one is due out in 2025. To view the 2022 report, click here.

The consultation aims to help understand the needs of Ealing residents and how they access pharmacy services and what improvements can be made. In a statement, EHAWB said of the consultation: “Your views will help inform our pharmaceutical needs assessment (PNA) which will look at health needs in Ealing, the level and accessibility of pharmacy services, and how these will be maintained and improved.”

The consultation is open until 25 October 2024 and Ealing residents can find out more and take part by clicking here.

Speaking to EALING.NEWS, David Crawley, project officer, Healthwatch Ealing said: “It is important for residents to take part in this survey because it helps the Ealing Health and Wellbeing Board identify what is going well and what can be improved in the pharmacy system from a service user perspective.”

Mr Crawley added: “Residents taking part helps the system become better. The information gained from this survey will be used by NHS England, Ealing Council and the Integrated Care Boards to make decisions when applications for new pharmacies are received, and for the commissioning of other services that could be delivered by community pharmacies and other providers.”
