Getting to the heart of the matter with lorry drivers

Ealing Hospital’s heart support group charity Heartlink, has reached out to local lorry drivers working for Quattro in Southall Lane to let them know more about heart disease and how to prevent it.

According to Heartlink, Ealing has one of the highest rates of heart disease in the UK and it is on a mission to help more people across the borough take preventive measures.

The borough’s health campaigning group gives talks to local schools and businesses highlighting the preventative measures people can take through healthier lifestyles.

Bernard Diamant, a Heartlink volunteer and committee member said: “No-one thinks they are going to have a heart attack until they do, so providing these checks and advice about simple lifestyle changes gives people peace of mind and helps us spread the message.”
