If you’re looking for an escape from the stresses of everyday life, or find an effective way of treating aches and pains, then you might want to consider treating yourself to a massage, and taking advantage of its therapeutic benefits.
The good news is it’s now even easier to do this in Ealing with the arrival of The Massage Company.
Having opened their first branch in Camberley in 2016, the Ealing centre, located in Ealing Broadway on the corner of Oak Road, is the company’s sixth, having also opened up in Sutton Coldfield, Putney, Tunbridge Wells and High Wycombe. Further branches in Harrow and Altrincham are set to open early next year.
From the minute you step into the Ealing branch everything around you is designed for relaxation, while the treatment will be tailored to your needs. As a relative newcomer to massage treatments I chose to experience the Swedish massage, and was left in the capable hands of therapist Anastasia.
What followed was one of the most relaxing hours I have spent in some time, with a treatment which used aromatherapy oils and focused mainly on arms, legs, shoulders and back. While the massage does require you to partly undress, you’re covered up with sheets throughout (apart from the bits being massaged that is!) and women can ask for a female therapist if they would prefer this. Low lights and soft music added to the overall ambience and the hour went by very quickly.
As well as doing a very thorough job, I was provided with an advice sheet when I left, with Anastasia highlighting my problem areas (my neck, in this case) and recommending a hot stone treatment next time around. Which could prove very tempting.
If you’re thinking of giving The Massage Company a go, prices for an introductory massage start from £59 – although if it’s regular treatments you’re after then membership may well be more cost effective.
Full membership will set you back £69.95 a month and entitles you to one massage per month and discounted upgrades (these include foot treatment and scalp massage) – while you get the same benefits with Flexi membership at £79.95 per month. However the full membership only allows you to share two treatments a year with someone else – while you can share unlimited massages with the Flexi option.
If you’re planning to incorporate a monthly massage into your routine though, then it’s worth every penny.
