It won the category Trust of the Year at the annual GG2 Leadership and Diversity Awards.

LNWH CEO Pippa Nightingale said: “One of the things that attracted me to come and work here was the diversity of our communities and workforce. It was a lovely surprise to pick up the award but much work remains to be done so onwards and upwards.”

Among the areas that judges highlighted for LNWH was how it tackles racism, how it was the first trust to launch an external review of its race worekforce standards and how it encourgaes divertsity on its board.

The awards saw Prime Minister Rishi Sunak as a keynote speaker in which he spoke of the “incredible contribution of South Asian people to our economy and our society.”
