Acton’s “reduce, reuse and recycle” market hub is back

West London’s Acton Market Reduce and Recycle Hub regular monthly event is back this Saturday (6 July 2024) to encourage and support people to “reduce, reuse and recycle.”

Organisers, Market W3, has been running the Saturday event since October 2022.

Visitors can discover how to repair clothes and fixing laptops to getting bikes checked and swapping books.

It takes place in The Mount, next to Morrison’s supermarket and provides an opportunity for people of all ages and backgrounds to make better use of what they’ve got as well as helping others and the environment.

Since launching in October 2022, organisers have said it is getting bigger as people from Acton and across all parts of Ealing are coming to see for themselves how they can be more conscious over what they use and need.

Zahra Shah, social media officer for Market W3 told EALING.NEWS: “The Acton Market Reduce and Recycle hub continues to go from strength to strength.  Each month bringing new recycling and reducing activities to people in Acton. Our nomination for the BBC Radio London make a difference award highlights the impact we have made on local lives.  If you haven’t yet visited a hub do come down and see what we get up to”
